Why see Lennon: Through a Glass Onion?

LENNON LIVES ON IN THIS INTIMATE MUSICAL PORTRAIT

The late, great John Lennon comes back to life in this poignant two-man show by esteemed actor and singer John Waters and accompanist Stewart D'Arrietta, which originally saw sell-out tours in their native Australia, and is now considered part of the country's theatrical repetoire. Neither a biography or an emulation of the man himself, Waters' production aims to capture Lennon's essence through music and the spoken word in a truly intimate portrait.

The show saw its humble beginnings in 1992 at the Tilbury Hotel, in the Woolloomooloo district of Sydney, Australia where it was originally booked for only one week. Thanks to rave reviews and a huge demand for tickets, the show extended for five more weeks. Fast forward to 2014, the duo are preparing to bring this intimate show to a brand-new American audience, following a staggering 137-date tour in Australia and performances in London.

Waters and D'Arrietta will perform 31 numbers by the late star, including the iconic 'Imagine', A Day in the Life', 'Strawberry Fields Forever', 'Revolution', 'Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds', and 'Woman' in a celebration of a talented life so cruelly snuffed out in its prime.
