With the sun shining and the leaves returning to the trees, spring is a time of new beginnings and so it is for the world of live entertainment! With Broadway gearing up for the Tony nominations on April 30 and opening several shows a day, we thought we'd swap the focus to the best the of the non-Great White Way shows heading your way in May!

Featuring the music of Sting, this stunning dance experience has been a hit with both critics and audiences! Created by Three-time Olivier Award nominee Kate Prince (Everybody's Talking About Jamie) and the multiple Grammy award winner, the show is choreographed to the likes of Sting's "Roxanne", "Every Breath You Take", "Walking on the Moon", plus many more, telling a story of hope and joy in humanity.

John Oliver and Seth Meyers
Beacon Theatre

Join these two titans of Late Night for a double headlining show, where they'll be delivering their sets in a two-for-one show. Following a tough year for the entertainment industry, Meyers and Oliver teamed up for a three-night residency at the Beacon Theatre, and by popular demand, it's now continuing into 2024, with monthly appearances from January through June!

The Metropolitan Opera ends its season on a high!

A trio of three powerhouse performers, Renee Fleming, Kelli O'Hara, and Joyce DiDonato, reunite on the Met Opera House stage to lead this encore performance of Kevin Puts's adaptation of Michael Cunningham's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. Inspired by Virginia Woolf's landmark 1925 work Mrs Dalloway and the Oscar-winning film adaptation of the same name, The Hours looks at three generations of women across 20th Century America, and the challenges they face as they try to discover their place, and make peace with themselves.

The Met Gala is not the only highlight for the NYCB

Roll out that red carpet! The NYCB's annual spring Gala lineup will showcase not one, but two fresh ballet pieces: one by Justin Peck, the Resident Choreographer and a stunning debut by Amy Hall Garner, known for her contributions to various ballet and theatre productions. Additionally, the program will feature "Red Angels" by the late choreographer Ulysses Dove.

New York City Ballet - a Midsummer Night's Dream

A dazzling gem in the New York City Ballet's repertoire, ballet master George Balanchine's adaptation of Shakespeare's supernatural rom-com is always a treat for all ages when revived by the company. With quarreling lovers, warring fairies and a group of baffled actors rehearsing a play all navigating in the same enchanted forest, the NYCB fill the stage, breathing life and energy into the epic storyline as set to Mendelssohn's irresistible score.
