At once 70s in NYC and a timeless insight into these dancers' lives. Intimate and personal. I loved every minute! Still fresh, unique, and touching!

I can't wait to see this play! When it was on Broadway in the 80's, I had just given birth to my daughter, and I couldn't afford to go. I was a wannabe Broadway performer, the play was poignant to me. Afterwards I took her to see the movie. It may have been a little inappropriate for her at the time. We would sing Morales' song together....and who didn't cry when Cassie sang "Let me dance for you"? Now I'm taking my wonderful young lady to see this play for the Holidays (I'll be the one with tears in her eyes through out the play). I am so very exicted! I hope this play stays on Broadway for a very long time. I'm giving this play 5 stars because it will be memorable to me ......no matter what.

Long before there was American Idol, this hit Broadway musical told the tale of tryouts for the chorus of a new Broadway show. Yes there might be a couple of inappropriate scenes in the show for kids but the rest is a family friendly musical! Remeber: A CHORUS LINE IS THE ONE!!!!!

This is the sixth time I've seen this play: first in New York, 1977; twice in Toronto; again in N.Y., 2007; last year at The Players in Sarasota - lacking in many respects, missing a live orchestra; and at the Van Wezel on Feb. 25. It was wonderful at the Van Wezal, as in New York and Toronto: exhilirating, electric, sexy, funny, honest, intimate, real and often very moving. Paul's very personal scene always makes me weep; At The Ballet and What We Did For Love are timeless numbers and gut rending. Cassie's mirror number was very good, although perhaps not quite as sensual as in New York; it helps to have a simple drum beat at times. The acting was excellent, the singing excellent, the dancing close to excellent. All in all, a fabulous performance and it was so obvious that every person on stage loved what they were there for. I hope it comes back because I would see it again. I guess there would be some adults as well as kids, who may be a tad offended but they'll survive

I've seen it many many times. You cant compare broadway w/Phoenix. That being said, I think they did a great job. Ill probably see it again next year.

Highly disappointed in this show. I saw it back in 1976 in NYC, and I can't tell you how much loved it!!!! I thought it was amazing. They have presently added new songs which apparently were edited out of the show when it first appeared on Broadway in the 70's. These songs were unmelodic and completely unnecessary rendering the show longer, which was both taxing and boring considering there was no intermission. The show did have some magical moments. "One" was sensational, as was "The music and the mirror". And there were a couple other numbers that I also enjoyed, but for the most part, the six people that I brought with me were unimpressed. My question is......why on earth would they deviate from the original??? Huge mistake!!
