Amazing show!
Frozen the Musical is a spectacular show and fantastic for the entire family. Many new songs have been added to this show but it still includes the songs that m I loved from the film. Elsa and Anna are magically portrayed by Caissie Levy and Patti Murin respectively. They are magic as they light up the stage as our two favorite characters from the film Frozen. From the incredibly beautiful costumes to the wonderous sets....this show does not dissappoint. Our seats were 11th row Center and we had a fantastic view of the stage the snow the actors and could hear everything perfectly. I truly believe the show will become a classic and that families will be seeing this with their children for years and years to come. I'm truly excited for the soundtrack to be released as the new songs were fantastic and added a whole new layer of emotion to the characters on stage. This is show that true theater lovers should not miss.
Amazing
This is my most favourite show. The whole show was spectacular. From the singing to the props and lighting- simply magical
Frozen on Broadway - A little disappointed....
I was so excited to see Frozen on Broadway. The theatrics were impressive, and the original songs were strong. But, I found the new songs (except for the Hans and Anna duet) a little depressing and melodramic. Where is the joy and belting that comes with a great song? But, my biggest complaint, as an educator and advocate for children, was the scene of adults dressed in nude body suits, dancing and singing with leaves and branches covering their private areas. Really?!?! I consider myself pretty liberal, socially and politically, but this scene was inappropriate and unnecessary. Disney should be better than that!
Inappropriate for children
I was stunned, shocked and didn't know what to sayto my 11 and 13 year old niece's when they turned to me and said "where did this scene come from, it's not in the movie. Isn't the naked people inappropriate especially with this many children in the audience"? Referring to a scene (steam hut) with naked actors with towels wrapped around waist and then a burlesque routine line with naked people moving around leafs to cover private parts. I totally agree with my 11 and 13 year old niece's. The scene does not belong and is inappropriate fir the target audience and the Disney movie the play is about. I would not have bought the tickets had I k own they were veering off the movie. This is not what Disney is about nor what the movie represents. I also did not see a warning before buying the tickets of the implied scene.
