Small intimate cast (13?) puts forth a tremendous nights entertainment. You’ll be humming songs and downloading them for weeks afterwards. Truly an incredible score and a cast that Rocks it to perfection

I originally saw this show (twice!) in 2016, off-off-Broadway at NYTW, and was blown away! I honestly didn't think the show could get any better, but I was wrong. Hadestown on Broadway is astoundingly fantastic in every way that live theater can and should be - the perfect cast and musicians, and the amazing set, choreography, lighting and direction take this production to the next level without losing any of the intimacy. Amber Gray (Persephone) and Patrick Page (Hades) are the only carry-overs, I believe, from the original cast and they are each stunningly talented and memorable in their roles, while Eva Noblezada (Eurydice), Reeve Carney (Orpheus) and Andre DeShields (Hermes), as well as the supremely gifted Fates and Workers, breathe new life into their characters. But the true star of the show is the musical score, by Anais Mitchell - a mix of upbeat NOLA-style jazz and folk that will have you ordering the cast album as soon as you get home! You can't go wrong with Hadestown!

Finally, someone to challenge the genius of Sondheim

It's taken decades...decades of elementary musical compositions, stale orchestrations, "ho-hum" scores, and more...but FINALLY a show that demonstrates some of the novelty and musical distinction of the great one himself. We attended the last dress rehearsal for investors and other invitees, the night before previews began, and I wished the evening never ended. As the saying goes, they "had me at hello." The cast is superb...chosen with laser-sharp acuity...without exception. Persephone leaves you wanting more every time she leaves the stage! The music is wonderful...my wife and I woke up the next morning with the songs in our heads and on our lips! The set is engaging...even using hanging industrial lamps on wires in an elegantly simple choreographed movement. I cannot wait to see it again, and soon!!!
