Hugh Panaro as Lestat was amazing. I'm going to see it again next year in october. I'm very pleased with Carmello's acting for Gabrille. I'm anxiously waiting for the soundtrack. I love this show a Lot. I'm excited to see it again. Even though there are changes. I love it. Hugh wonderful Job

Saw the show last Friday night (April 14, 2006). Despite all the negative reviews I had read I tried to keep an open mind... and I'm glad I did. It was fabulous. I enjoyed the actors and Elton John's music. I have read all of Ms. Rice's books and I thought the production was very true to her stories for the amount of time given. The more I think about having seen the play, the more I loved it. Looking forward to the release of the cast album.

A Lovely Theatrical Experience

I was delighted to be able to see Lestat the Wednesday after opening night. Being a devout Anne Rice fan, I was rather tentative about how one of my favorite literary characters might be portrayed musically on a stage. I'm happy to say it was a delightful presentation. For fans of the novels, I think it will always be impossible to generate any kind of play or movie that has actors visually capturing the characters in the books. But this play has been written to capture the feelings and emotions of the characters and the talented people who are playing these roles did a remarkable job. The only negative comments I heard while in the theater were from people who don't like plays with vampires in them. I could only wonder why you'd go see a play about vampires, if this was the case. The music was flowing, the sets were dramatic and the show was terrific. One of the highlights of the play was the young actress playing Claudia belting out I Want More. I Want More too!!!

Not nearly as terrible as they thought

This show was not nearly as bad as everyone says it is. At it's worst, it's somewhat banal, just like everything else on Broadway these days. At it's best, it's darkly fun! I left the theater with a smile on my face, as did my fellow audience members. The music still plays in my head and it is delightfully beautiful. Beautiful sets, songs, actors, costumes. Just superb. However, if you are a stickler for the books, I don't recommend it. But if you have an open mind, you'll enjoy the play so much and leave saying "I Want More!"

Multimedia is the background for this show.

This is an amazing show. The lights and sound effects for this show are nothing short of amazing. The group I went with is a group of actors and techies, some of them professional. They enjoyed and loved it very much. Hugh is the right person for this show. He has a breathtaking voice and is outstanding with his facial expressions. I had the privlege of seeing Allison Fisher after the show. She has a lot of talent and is only 17. Wonderful voice. The only flaw was a couple of plot problems. This will probably be corrected since it is in previews. The multimedia makes up for it though. The set is beautiful. 4 Stars. Corey Wolfgang CCHS Theater
