LOVED “The Parisian Woman!” It is witty, timely, well-acted, and nicely staged. It takes place after last year’s presidential election and involves characters that are the ones that support the current agenda/behaviors and those that are disgusted by it all. It is written by Beau Willimon, the creator of “House of Cards”. You can definitely see some similarities. The play had a twist towards the end that I didn’t see coming. The 90 minutes flew by. Uma Thurman performed well in her broadway debut, with her sexiness combined with strength coming through, and the other four were impressive as well— Phillipa Soo “Hamilton” - Tony nomination, Josh Lucas (“Sweet Home Alabama,” “A Beautiful Mind,” “The Glass Menagerie “- with Jessica Lang), Blair Brown (“Copenhagen” - Tony award, “Orange is the New Black” - the celebrity prisoner), and Martin Csokas (many regional theatre roles).

Wonderful, Just wonderful! The entire cast is so very talented. The scenic design so riveting and fun. The theatre has comfortable seats! While it is based in Washington it is not a political piece....DO GO!!!!!

Well paced. Good story. Well acted. Recommend it.

Interesting, contemporary look into political maneuvering and somewhat intriqing but not shocking as one would hope it would be. Acting was uneven, even forced at time. Uma has a good stage voice but stiff hands. She was her best in the role of blackmailer. The lover over acted his part and I cringed whenever he was on stage. In summation: the play needs more work. Loved the Hudons theatre and its history; an interesting trip down memory lane. The electronics used for changing the sets was either not working properly or the words were not clear. I don't think this bit of technology was necessary. It seemed desperate.

At one hour I was checking my watch. The story line explores the tired political "scandals" we are bombarded with every day that have become so commonplace that all impact has been lost and It's merely depressing... the underbelly of the Washington beast. No punch, no insights, the cast portrayed individuals who have chosen to give up all that is beautiful in humanity for questionable ideology. Uma Thurman's portrayal of Chloe was unimpassioned, unbelievable, and somewhat disconnected. Overall a poor story line moderately well performed. Stay home and read the New York Times if you want to irritate yourself and spend the money on seeing a good show that captures you.

It is hard to believe that this ill humored political play opened on Broadway. Never could imagine that an actress like Uma Thurman could lower her standards and participate in such a disappointment.
