What a gorgeous show- the acting is superb, the music is haunting, and I was deeply moved at the story. Puts the audience in the center of a problem that is mostly unseen or unheard in America. The staging was elegant and cool. Captures mood and deals with important issues.

The Visitor @ Public Theater: A Must See

I saw the performance on opening night and found it to be one of the most moving and thoughtful theater experiences that I have ever had. The story line is compelling and as relevant (if not more so) than when the film was first produced post-9/11. The acting is superb, engaging, and emotionally moving. Finally, the music was a pure delight. I feel so fortunate to have seen this show and highly recommend it to everyone.

Another tired white savior story

I saw The Visitor last night. It’s just another story about the struggle of people of color told through a white perspective. Maybe cut the scene where they show how bored the protagonist is at a conference and show a little bit more story from other characters who are actually going through something.

Boring

Some of the music is great in this production, the singing beautiful, and the dancing/drumming terrific. Yet the book is wan, and overall, this show is predictable and dull. It's too bad, bc the ideas could be so much more interesting,
