We’re just leaving The Atlas Center for the Performing Arts. We saw a play called Twisted Melodies. It’s about the life and death of the musical genius Donny Hathaway. I have been to hundreds of plays, and some were outstanding, but I have NEVER had a more profound theatrical experience. Twisted Melodies ABSOLUTELY blew us away!!! This is a MUST SEE if you enjoy REALLY good theatre.

Run don't walk to get your ticket for this play. We saw it in Baltimore and when Kelvin walked out and sat down at the piano and started singing and playing, we thought it was a recording. The brother walks, looks, sings and plays like Donny Hathaway. We're going to see it again in NYC. It's just that good.

He breathes life into the man and the music of Donny Hathaway. Step inside the mind of a musical master's history on stage, must see!

I saw this playi in Chicago. I really enjoyed it. The vocals were phenomenal and the acting was tight. Also thought the writing iwas very good and that it came a first hand inside glimpse into mental illness. You will walk away from this place with an understanding of Donnie Hathaway, his talent and his illness.

Kelvin Rolston becomes Donny Hathaway in this wonderful depiction of Severe Mental Health and how it tormented this Musical Genius. I highly recommend this Play.
