The classic tearjerker on stage, starring Molly Ringwald
Following her acclaimed turns in Cabaret and Enchanted April, Eighties screen icon Molly Ringwald (Pretty in Pink) takes to the New York stage once again in Terms of Endearment. Famously adapted into an Oscar-winning movie in 1983 starring Shirley MacLaine, this smartly-written tearjerker races the lives of a mother and daughter over the course of 30 years, as they each navigate life's many ups and downs. This is the first time it's been adapted for the stage.
Aurora Greenway (Ringwald) and her daughter Emma's (Hanna Dunne) relationship can be best described as...strained. Careering backwards and forwards between love and hate, the pair struggle to truly understand the other as life takes them down very different paths. A 30 year epic that traces Aurora' and Emma's loves and losses, Terms of Endearment is a touching and frequently very funny reminder of the fragile family bonds that join us together.
