ODE TO THE WASP WOMAN is a great play. It chronicles the sad deaths of four actual B movie stars, George Superman Reeves, Alfalfa Switzer, Barbara Payton, Susan Cabot. The play stars SEAN YOUNG Blade Runner, Dune). Not uplifting, but brilliant! The acting, amazing!

We really enjoyed Ode to the Wasp Woman! The play provides moments of both humor and great sadness as we watch the characters' "real" lives unfold in their final day(s). Each of the four segments is dealt to the audience by a dynamic and enthusiastic cast, with a script that unfurls these moments of these four tragic figures with mostly riveting performances. The excellent supporting cast play several roles (and at times upstage the leads, including with some great adlibbing at the Saturday matinee we attended). Some of the actor's voices didn't project well to the rear of the theater where we sat, but that was incidental to the truly interesting source material and the overall impact of the staging and lighting. Thanks to the actors for a riveting Saturday afternoon.
