Two Soul Legends Unite

The Whispers formed in 1964, and last year celebrated 50 years in the music business and were inducted into the Soul Music Hall of Fame in 2012. One of R&B music's most beloved and consistently popular vocal groups, The Whispers comprises twin brothers Walter and Wallace Scott, with Nicholas Caldwell, Marcus Hutson, and Gordy Harmon. Growing up in the Los Angeles area, they perfected their harmonies through street performances and working through various record labels, including a period at Soul Train in the Seventies.

Broadway star Mills is recognised for her critically acclaimed role as Dorothy in the African-American production The Wiz, a retelling of the Wizard of Oz and her rendition of "Home" remains one of her biggest hits, along with the Reggie Lucas-written song "Never Knew Love Like This Before."
