A Christmas tradition
Since 1969, The New York String Orchestra has been a springboard for the country's most talented young musicians to hone their craft and experience what it means to be a professional in their chosen field. As part of the Orchestra, passionate and talented young people aged from 15 to 22 entertain the city with beautiful and triumphant pieces, led for over 20 years by conductor Jaime Laredo.
