America 1950-1990

Born when Jen is six years old, John becomes her reason for living, and tries to keep him safe from the abusive advances of their father. But as the years go by, it becomes impossible for the siblings to stay so close, for Jen to look after John and they drift apart. It's only the onslaught of the Vietnam War and John's voluntary conscription to the Navy that makes hippy Jen realise that something has to change...
