Celebrating Women's Movement
The Fall 2018 Gala celebrates a program dedicated entirely to female choreographers. This iconic evening will include a world premiere by award-winning choreographer Michelle Dorrance and MacArthur Fellow. Alongside the ABT studio company performing principal dancer Lauren Lovettes, Le Jeune and the legendary Twyla Thwarps, In The Upper Room. The stunning performances will be followed by dancing and dinner on the Promenade of the David H. Koch Theater.
This year celebrates the American Ballet Theatres Women's movement, which is commitment by ABT to always invite at least three women choreographers to create work for the company.
The evening will also honour philanthropist and American Ballet Theatres Education chair and trustee, Sarah Arison, in presenting her with the Melville Strauss Leadership Award in recognition of her generosity, dedication and service to the arts community and ABT.
