it will touch your soul!!!
Laura Linney and Jessica Hecht deliver stunning performances. Ninety minutes of purely relatable dialogue flew by. There is no huge plot; just two women discussing an unlikely friendship that developed during the bicentennial summer. Friendship, motherhood, status and values are provocatively intertwined and exposed due to the remarkable writing and superb acting. I loved it!!!
Linney and Hecht Display Magnetic Rapport
Laura Linney and Jessica Hecht are simply amazing in the Summer, 1976. They deliver their lines, not as actors, but as actual people in the moment. We were drawn in and mesmerized as we traveled along the emotional journey with them. I highly recommend this play.
