Why see Kings Of Convenience?
back in the us after 12 years
Norwegian indie-pop duo Kings of Convenience hit the road across North America this fall, playing their first US shows in 12 years following up the release of 2021s "Peace and Love" album! comprised of Erlend ye and Eirik Glambek Be, the duo formed in Bergen, Norway in 1999 and released their debut album, "Quiet is the New Loud," in 2001, which garnered critical acclaim and established them as key players in the burgeoning indie folk scene.
The pair's music is characterized by intricate guitar work, tight harmonies, and introspective lyrics that often explore themes of love, longing, and introspection. Having not released new music since 2009's "Declaration of Dependence", they returned triumphantly in 2021 and with their new show Kings of Convenience continue to enchant audiences with a timeless and intimate sound.
