Off-Broadways Sleep No More closure

Author SaadiqahSaadiqah, November 10th, 2023

The immersive show has set a closure date

The Off-Broadway show has announced that its run will end on January 28, 2024, after an impressive 5,000 performances since opening on March 7, 2011. The decision to close was based on the production's rising costs, and it has been said that the production was reluctant to raise ticket prices to increase profit. There's no news on what show will replace it, but they will definitely have big shoes to fill.

Producers Felix Barrett and Maxine Doyle said

"Thirteen years ago, we could never have imagined the astonishing journey this show has been on. It's had an incalculable impact on us all and will live on in our hearts, seep through our skin, and sleep in the deepest parts of our imaginations."

What's the show about?

From immersive theater powerhouses Punchdrunk comes Sleep No More, the award-winning immersive adaptation of Macbeth. Told in a cinematic, Hitchcock-style, the production invites audiences to explore the vast and haunting world of Macbeth at their own leisure, granting them the freedom to dictate their path and encounters. Every person experiences their own distinct and unique journey, choosing where to venture and how their own tale plays out.
