Will go again - fun
A wonderful show, everybody joined in with the songs. A happy experience, will definitely see again. Great seats. It is a shame the bar was closed at the end of the show, many would have stayed and kicked on.
Escape to Margaritaville
My wife and I went to see Escape to Margaritaville for our anniversary and we weren't disappointed. The show embodies the flavor and attitude of Jimmy Buffet music. It exuded laid-backtitude. The Marquis Theatre is a great venue for this show with comfortable, roomy seating. We sat in Orchestra, Center Row V and our view was great. Frozen Margaritas were served in the theatre for $16.00 with drinking allowed in your seats! Parrotheads were visible throughout the theatre so feel free to wear tropical attire (parrot hats would probably block others' view.) This show was pure fun. The story is your typical boy gets girl, boy loses girl , boy gets girl affair but the interweaving of Buffets timeless music was fun to watch. The music begs for and got plenty of audience participation with sing alongs aplenty. If you're looking for a fun night out for any age, this is it. And you might want to try Tommy Bahama's Restaurant for dinner to round out your "trop-rock" evening. We loved it! Enjoy!
AMAZING! Escape to Margaritaville NOW!
My husband and 21 yr old daughter absolutely LOVED this musical! I am shocked it's closing, it's not time! It's a fun show with wonderful Jimmy Buffet music and an amazing cast. Paul Alexander Nolan and Allison Luff are simply perfect and so is the rest of the cast. RUN, SWIM, TAKE A BOAT OR PLANE but get there before the magic ends!
Escape to Margaritaville
After reading the scathing reviews - I got my ticket anyway. Take a leap of faith as the plot is totally unbelievable and goofy - but the actors, the band and the songs made up for it. It was like a quick trip to a Caribbean bar. Breezy, relaxing, kitschy and amusing. Dont expect too much - just sit back and enjoy the vibe. The crowd loved it and were clapping and standing by the end.
