Annapurna

Why see Annapurna?

Real-life couple Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman (also from the hit TV series Parks and Recreation) star in this moving play about about love and loss. When cowboy-poet Ulysses (Offerman) becomes terminally ill, his estranged wife Emma (Mullally) tracks him down for a final reckoning. Their reunion, some twenty years after she initially walked out on their marriage, brings with it charged emotions and rekindles the bond which united them all those years ago.

Described as a "visceral, profound and sometimes funny meditation on love and loss", Annapurna is a moving and emotional play created using the most refined form of theatre; two people in a room.

The production moves to Off-Broadway for its New York premiere after a sold-out run in Los Angeles, taking with it the same cast and creative team. It was written by Sharr White (The Snow Geese) and is directed once again by Bart DeLorenzo

Best theatre experience I've ever had

Annapurna is a deeply moving piece of theatre. It's witty, it's heartbreaking, it's provocative, and it's hopeful. Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman are not only two of the best comedians, but they are outstanding dramatic performers as well. They committed to these characters and brought them to life. Thank you for a very special experience. ... Read more

Do Not Miss Out

I had the pleasure of spending 90 thought provoking minutes enjoying the outstanding and poignant performances of Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally. This is a play about deep pain, unconditional love and forgiveness for those who break your heart. Offerman's performance of the damaged poet, Ulysses, made me want to read scraps that made up the epic he writes for his estranged ex wife played by Mullally. The characters demonstrated so well the human ability to alter perception according to one's need or emotional stamina. Amazing story and performances! Thank you for a beautiful experience at the theater. ... Read more
