The Emmy Award-winning Latino star is headed back to the stage

Emmy Award-winner John Leguizamo is a creature of countless talents. From film, television, theater, stand-up comedy and even music, there are few project that he hasn't yet tackled. Following on from his recent success 2011 on-Broadway with Ghetto Klown, he returns with another one-man show developed at La Jolla Playhouse in CA, this time tackling the historic contributions of Latinos that have been conveniently forgotten from the history books. Using his trademark rapid-fire wit, sharp observations and personal experiences, he will introduce you to hidden histories spanning the Aztec and Incan Empires to World War II.

Leguizamo's first solo stage project was the Off-Broadway sensation Mambo Mouth in 1991, followed by 1993's Spic-O-Rama, which enjoyed extended sold-out runs in Chicago and New York . His third solo show, Freak, followed with a successful run on Broadway in 1998 with a special HBO presentation of Freak, directed by Spike Lee, and winning the actor an Emmy in the process. Also known for his vicious Tybalt in Baz Lurhmann's Romeo and Juliet, he followed the eclectic director to his next project, Moulin Rouge, where he played Toulouse Lautrec.
