Mo'nique Brings in Mother's Day with Plenty of Laughs

Mo'nique's mother's day comedy sees the comedian and actress entertain audiences with special guests to celebrate mother's day. Mo'nique first became noted on American Sitcom The Parkers and has since made a name for herself in film, television and stand up.

Showcased at the legendary Apollo Theater, the multi-talented entertainer hosts a night of comedy and fun with artist, activist and gospel singer Tonex. Since first appearing on television, Mo'nique has gone on to celebrate many successes. She hosted popular late-night talk show, The Mo'nique Show from 2009 to 2011 on BET. Mo'nique received a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album in 2012 and critical acclaim for her role in the 2009 film Precious. For this film she won various awards including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She also received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her role in Bessie, a HBO biopic about the iconic blues singer Bessie Smith.
