Why see Blue Man Group?

The Mind-Boggling Off-broadway Favorite!

One of New York's longest-running shows, the Blue Man Group is a little hard to describe, but we'll give it a go! Take a healthy dose of percussion, mix it in with some vaudeville, a pinch of cutting edge technology, and half a teaspoon of comedy, and you've got... well, the Blue Man Group! Guiding you through this multi-sensory, alternatively amazing and hilarious show are three blue-painted performers, who don't seem to have too much knowledge about life on earth. Through a mixture of stunt, sketches and LOTS of drumming, they'll try and learn about these strange things called 'humans', and might just ask you up on the stage to aid in their research.

A show unlike any other, it's no surprise that the Blue Man Group have become a world-famous act, with permanent productions here in New York, as well as Las Vegas, Orlando, Chicago, Boston and Berlin.

A Brief History

A show unlike any other, it's no surprise that the Blue Man Group have become a world-famous act, with permanent productions here in New York, as well as Las Vegas, Orlando, Chicago, Boston and Berlin. It all began in the late eighties, when trio of friends Chris Wink, Phil Stanton and Matt Goldman took to the streets of New York in Blue make-up as a piece of performance art. Their appearence eventually led to an Off-Broadway show at Astor Palace, and the gorup have been a resident fixture of the New York theater scene ever since.

Blue me away

I have taken my children, 13 year old son, 11 year old daughter to Blue Man Group several times. Most recently this week, it's their favorite 'reward' activity and all 3 of us have a great time every time. This past week though, the show has changed. There are new bits and routines that were just hysterical. I never thought the show was stale, but they freshened it up anyway. The new stuff was hilarious and my son especially can't stop talking about it. I highly recommend it to anyone with an imagination and a sense of humor. One of the few activities that I enjoy as much as my kids. ... Read more

Loved it!

Went to the show last week with a group of eighty high school students. Did not think I would enjoy the show but I had a blast. Laughed so hard at times and the percussion and visual effects were awesome. Would recommend to friends who plan to visit NY. ... Read more
