2013 saw Old Crow Medicine Show being inducted as the newest members of the historic Grand Ole Opry. Formerly buskers, it's been nearly fifteen years since these humble beginnings, and the band has gone on to tour the world and sell over 800,000 albums. They are joined by the Avett Brothers.
This Americana string band is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and their music is called old-time, bluegrass, folk, and alt-country. Along with original songs, the band performs many pre-World War II blues and folk songs.
They were most recently seen with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Mumford and Sons in the Grammy Award-winning music documentary Big Easy Express.
