Wild-haired and crazily talented, Tim Minchin brings his unique brand of musical stand-up to the New York Comedy Festival. Minchin himself describes his act as "funny cabaret", drawing on his theatrical background to create a show that swings from jaunty satirical numbers on the grand piano to beat poems to surreal flights of fancy.
In recent years, Minchin's talents have put him in huge demand on The Great White Way. He scored the mega-hit Matilda: The Musical, which is still packing in Broadway crowds three years since its New York debut, and his new musical Groundhog Day has recently opened to ecstatic reviews in London's West End. Always a truly unique stage presence, and one never afraid to venture outside the conventional stand-up box, Minchin has to be seen to be believed!
