Les Miserables

Why see Les Miserables?

We're Bringing Her Back!

Boubil & Schonberg's legendary musical returns to Broadway for a special limited six-month engagement.

LES MISÉRABLES is the third longest-running show in Broadway history and will, on October 9, pass the 21 year old record of Cats in London to become the longest-running musical ever on the West End or Broadway with 8,372 performances; a run nearly three years longer than Broadway’s record-holder The Phantom of the Opera, all three shows having been produced by Cameron Mackintosh.

LES MISÉRABLES has been seen by over 53 million people in 38 countries and 21 languages since its first London performance in October 1985. The original Broadway production opened on March 12, 1987, at the Broadway Theatre, winning seven Tony Awards that season, including Best Musical. The show went on to play a total of 6,680 performances.

Based on Victor Hugo's epic novel. Relentless policeman Javert pursues escaped convict Jean Valjean over decades through the tumult of revolutionary France. Valjean becomes a mayor, agrees to raise the daughter of dying prostitute and joins the fight for freedom. None of this impresses the single-minded Javert, until the day Valjean saves his life. Score includes "Who Am I?," "A Little Fall of Rain," "One Day More," "Bring Him Home" and "I Dreamed a Dream."

Jean valjean was amazing

The group I was with were so impressed with Ramin K as Jean Valjean. During Bring Him Home everyone in the audience was so taken with the performance, he almost couldnt go on because we were clapping so much. I just loved every moment of this production. Thank you for putting on such a great show PS--a minor complaint though--the seats are uncomfortable and the drinks were way too expensive. Just a side note for the business side of things.. :) ...
