Why see The Great Gatsby?

A Broadway Transfer, Old Sport

A 2024 Tony Winner! After a rapturous run at New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse in late 2023, this brand-new Tony-nominated musical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's Jazz Age masterpiece will now offer Broadway audiences a peek into mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby's world! Starring Jeremy Jordan as Gatsby and Eva Noblezada as his long-lost love Daisy, the production features a book by by Kait Kerrigan, score by Tony Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen, and is directed by Marc Bruni.

What Is The Story?

An exploration of the American Dream and the dangers of wanting what you can't buy, The Great Gatsby follows the fortunes of writer Nick Carraway, whose life is changed forever when he stays with his cousin Daisy Buchanan in the exclusive West Egg neighborhood. The locals are up in arms about fabulously rich new resident Jay Gatsby, who appears to have it all. But are things exactly as they seem, or is this strange gentleman hiding a darker side?

Did You Know?

Wondering why The Great Gatsby is everywhere? That's because the book recently entered the Public Domain - meaning that creatives can now adapt the story for free!
