Why see Saturday Night Fever?

Sparkling Saturday Night Fever Tells Tony Manero's Striking Story

The 1970s movie hit is being brought to New York's Westbury Theater in the 40th Anniversary Saturday Night Fever Concert. The theater performance is based on Norman Wexler's 1977 film and Nik Cohn's 1975 article in New York magazine where he writes about the vibrancy that he'd witnessed amongst New York's 1970s youth.

The film favorite depicts the story of Tony Manero, a young man from Brooklyn whose life was defined by the New York night life and who lived for the weekends where he could dance the night away. It follows the protagonist as he falls in love while partnering with a young lady to win a dance competition.

Performed to the Bee Gees soundtrack with hits including 'Stayin Alive,' 'Night Fever' and 'More Than A Woman,' the show celebrates 40 years since the films sparkling release and gives fans plenty to sing and dance about.
