Boston Symphony Orchestra
Jean-Yves Thibaudet shows off why he is considered one of the world's best pianists today
Why see Boston Symphony Orchestra?
With guest pianist Thibaudet!
An exciting double program by the visiting Boston Symphony Orchestra will be hosted at Isaac Stern next April, as part of their spring season! Conducted by Andris Nelsons, this special concert will feature guest pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet with two compositions that explore themes of faith and danger. Bernstein's Symphony No. 2, "The Age of Anxiety" focuses on four disparate characters in New York City, all searching for faith; this is followed by Shostakovich's Symphony No. 4, whose unorthodox style put him in danger during the early Soviet era.
