Forming part of David Geffen Hall's Symphonic Masters 2 and Mahler Transcending program, the prestigious London Symphony Orchestra will be performing Mahler: Symphony No. 9, conducted by Simon Rattle. Maestro Rattle will be inducted as Music Director of the LSO from September 2017. The Ninth Symphony, written between 1908 and 1909, was sadly the last symphony that Mahler completed, before his untimely death in 1911 due to a faulty heart valve.
