Join the New York Philharmonic for its triumphant season finale, and the final concert of conductor and musical director Alan Gilbert. In what is promised to be a truly international engagement, we will be treated to performances from musicians from Australia, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, Venezuela, the United Kingdom, and of course, the United States! Amongst the special guests include Yo-Yo Ma, Edward Perez, Carter Brey, Wynton Marsalis and Shane Shanahan. And Alan himself will be bringing out his violin, to show you exactly why he is the Phil's most foremost director in years.
The program for this poignant finale includes Mahler's Symphony No. 7, Kinan Azmeh's Ibn Arabi Postlude and Edward Perez's The Latina 6/8 Suite
