An unmissable event for movie fans of all ages, The New York Philharmonic present their Star Wars Concert Series. The orchestra will perform John Williams' iconic scores for Episodes IV, V, VI and VII (they're skipping over those pesky prequels for now) in accompaniment to screenings of the movies. It's the chance to catch sci-fi's landmark series as you've never experienced it before!
Released in 1977, this is the one that began it all. A small scale sci-fi movie, lead by a relatively unknown cast, it introduced us all the Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie and the menacing Darth Vader, and helped to kick off the blockbuster era as we know it. Suddenly George Lucas was the name on everyone's lips, and movies would never be the same again!
