This March, the Hong Kong Dance Company will perform their spectacular The Legend of Mulan outside of China for the first time. This strictly limtied engagement, which runs at the Lincoln Center's David H Koch Theater March 5 - 8, is the fourth collaboration between the New York establishment and the China Arts & Entertainment Group, the last being 2014's rapturously received The Red Dress. This company never delivers anything less than an enthralling spectacle and have been delighting audiences the world over since their formation in 1981.
The Legend of Mulan retells the ancient Chinese legend of a young girl who disguises herself as a man to take the place of her elderly father in the army. It's a story perhaps best known to Western audiences through the 1998 Disney adaptation.
