Eric Carle's ingenious children's story relived on stage.
First published in 1969 Eric Carle's intricate and beautifully illustrated story The Very Hungry Caterpillar has transformed the imaginations of children across the globe. Now, after 40 years on the page, The Very Hungry Caterpillar is given a new lease of life on the stage.
With Carle's iconic illustrations and simple and distinctive stories Jonathan Rockefellar has created a menagerie of 75 different and loveable puppets who are all faithfully adapted from Carle's stories. This theatrical re-creation marries four of Eric Carle's books, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks and The Very Lonely Firefly into a beautifully cohesive and charming family show.
