The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

Why see The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time?

Winner of five Tony Awards!

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is something truly special. Produced by London's National Theatre, this Broadway transfer rewrites The Great White Way's rulebook with its stunning, wildly imaginative imaginative adaptation of Mark Haddon's 2003 novel. After breaking records in London's West End, the Simon Stephens production of Curious Incident won an unheard of seven Olivier Awards, becoming the first play to do so. It repeated its success across the pond, picking up an impressive five Tony Awards, including Best Play and Best Performance by a Leading Actor for star Alex Sharp.

The unforgettable story of Christopher John Francis Boone, a young mathematics genius with Asperger's syndrome, for whom the untimely death of his neighbour/s dog begins an inventive and beautifully staged journey that takes the audience into Christopher's world, in a deeply-felt performance that translates his unique perspective of the world, and the wonders of life.

Broadway newbie Alexander Sharp makes his debut on the Great White Way in the lead role of Christopher. He performs alongside Tony nominee Helen Carey as Mrs. Alexander.

What is A Curious Incident About?

Christopher finds himself at the scene of a crime. His neighbour, Mrs Shears' dog Wellington has been found murdered in the garden at 7 minutes past midnight. As of now, Christopher himself is a suspect. So begins an extraordinary journey that pits the amateur detective against this curious murder mystery, pitting him against his family, his dreams and his ambitions, with a triumphalist spirit that will uplift and keep you thinking long after you've left the theatre.
