Why see The Raconteurs?

Help Us Stranger

Alt-rock legends The Raconteurs return to the road this year as they present their brand new album, Help Us Stranger. Their first album since 2008's Consolers of Lonely, Help Us Stranger sees the Jack White-fronted band reunite after a long and desolate hiatus.

The Raconteurs first burst onto the music scene with their debut album Broken Boy Soldiers in 2006. This first full-length album (which included iconic hit Steady As She Goes) saw the four-piece hit the number two spot in the UK charts as well as hitting the top ten in the US. Catapulted into super-stardom The Raconteurs released their second album, Consolers of the Lonely in 2008 which mirrored their first album's huge success and earned the group a Grammy award. However, all was not well as the group announced that they would be taking a break with no confirmed return. Thank goodness that the boys seemed to have worked through it and are now back with brand new music!

Purveyors of heavy guitar riffs and booming drums The Raconteurs are the princes of alt-rock, don't miss your chance to see the lads return with their brand new tour!

Saw the Raconteurs Sept 5 in NY. A day later my ears are still slightly ringing and I don't mean that in a good way. I like my hearing. I've loved the Raconteurs since the beginning. Their first and second cd blew me away, the latest not sure yet. It's great listening to their music on cd, mp3, Spotify etc is. But since when did they need to crank up the volume so high similar to a heavy metal concert. Instruments and vocals both were distorted and not in a good way. Their intensity was great, Jack White so full of energy. Brendans voice excellent, thundering drums. but I think you would never listen to that music at those levels by choice. It was a great live experience. And if I didn't see them live I would be left listening to others raving reviews and I would always feel like i'm missing out on something big. Stlll love them ! and the ringing is almost gone. ... Read more

Just got better and better

Seriously an amazing concert. I could use a million words to describe it but it would never make you understand how awesome it was. The Raconteurs in concert are better than their recordings. Jack White takes center stage without even trying but it would be totally wrong to discount the band as a whole in any way. Saw Jack White on tour for Lazaretto and he was great then but I have to say on stage as a band member is where he truly shines. It could not have been nearly the performance it was without Brendan Benson, Jack Lawerence and Patrick Keeler. Patrick Keeler in particular was so much fun to watch. Excellent technique and feel also clearly in his natural element on stage. Jack White was transcendent on Blue Veins. Not a song I loved in the recording but live it could not possibly be better. If you have a chance to see the Raconteurs GO, even if the only song you know is Steady as She Goes, which is a not their best song. You absolutely will not be disappointed, unless, of course, you don't know anything about music. ... Read more
