Now showing at the Hayes Theatre on Broadway is Paula Vogel's Mother Play. The Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright's pemire of her newest work is led by an all star cast, consisting of Tony, Oscar and Emmy winner Jessica Lange, Tony winner Celia Keenan-Bolger, and Emmy winner Jim Parsons.
Taking on the role of director is Tina Landau, the Tony Award-winning director of SpongeBob SquarePants, The Broadway Musical. The show has a limited run, so catch it while you can!
What's it about?
Set in Washington D.C. in 1962, Mother Play follows the story of Phillis, the matriarch of a small family. She has the lives of her two children planned out, but will they accept these plans or strive to make their own way in the world?
