Why see All In: Comedy About Love?
John Mulaney Returns To Broadway
They might play pirates, sometimes they'll be dogs, and in one scene, you might even catch them speaking in British accents. Forget getting your comedy fix from the papers - this time, get it live on stage from a rotating lineup of the world's top comedic talents! They bring you All In: Comedy About Love, a collection of laugh-out-loud stories about dating, heartbreak, and marriage, adapted from Simon Rich's short stories, many of which you may have read in The New Yorker.
This is your chance to see John Mulaney, Fred Armisen, Rene Elise Goldsberry (until December 30), and the always-entertaining Richard Kind. As the run continues, SNL's Chloe Fineman will take over from January 2 to January 12, 2025. And with more cast members yet to be announced, expect some exciting surprises to come!
About The Show
While the show may seem a bit chaotic, it ultimately conveys a straightforward message: the most important thing in life is who we share it with. Hopefully, everyone can connect with this, even if they were dragged along by a date and began the night with quiet resentment!
The show will be Directed by Alex Timbers. This is Mr. Timbers' fourth time working with Mr. Mulaney, having previously directed him in the comedy specials Kid Gorgeous and Baby J, as well as the Broadway production Oh, Hello.
About Simon Rich
Quirky, offbeat and often absurd, Simon Rich's short stories are known for taking everyday situations and turning them onto their head. For example, Unprotected tells the story of a neglected condom left in a teenager's wallet, In another, Sell Out, an ancestor is resurrected and struggles to understand how modern life has "softened" his descendants.
A former writer for Saturday Night Live and one of the youngest ever to join the staff, Rich has a knack for transforming life's most awkward moments into a single page of relatable hearty stories.
