Following an acclaimed run at London's Trafalgar Studios, Irish Repertory Theatre is proud to present a new production of Enda Walsh's breakthrough play Disco Pigs, in celebration of its 20th anniversary! Directed by John Haidar, the production stars Evanna Lynch, best known for playing Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films, Lynch will be making her stage debut along with actor Colin Campbell.
What is Disco Pigs About?
Pig and Runt - born on the same day, the same hospital, basically twins the only difference between them is their bloodline. The duo have been inseparable ever since. Needing no one else but each other, they live in their own world with their own rules.
Their seventeenth birthday means for a joint celebration, but as night falls and the drinks and disco take holds, the pair violently spin out of control.
Did You Know?
The play made a breakthrough when it premiered at the 1997 Edinburgh Fringe, the drama was lauded by critics and picked up multiple awards!
