Keenan Scott, a playwright and a poet, arrives on the Broadway stage for a debut performance with "Thoughts of a Colored Man". The show encompasses the inner thoughts, feelings and the outwards show that Black men in a contemporary world. Follow the stories and stereotypes projected onto Black men as they live their lives in the day to day, handling their challenges and holding their resolve in the public eye - hiding away their vulnerability and concerns until they are blessed with a moment alone.
Keenan Scott had his world opening of this show in 2019 on the Syracuse Stage, and had a performance last year in 2020. With his Broadway debut, his director is also making his first appearance - Steve H. Broadnax. His rendition and vision for the show is moving, raw and emotional. It is sure to be a performance to remember.
