Returning to the met once more!
Robert Alagna leads the charge as the charismatic swordsman and poet, for whom life is not complete without bashing a few heads together. But his bullying ways are tempered by his unrequited love for his cousin Roxane...Patricia Racette co-stars as Roxane, with Atalla Ayan as her lover and Cyrano's rival Christian. Marco Armiliato conducts.
First performed in 1936, the opera debuted to great acclaim but spent the better part of the 20th-century languishing before being revived by the Met in 2005.
