Linda
"Funny, touching, deeply uncomfortable-making."

Why see Linda?
Starring Olivier winner Janie Dee
Following the rapturous reception of The Ruins of Civilization, playwright Penelope Skinner returns to the Manhattan Theatre Club with her new play Linda. Debuted in London in 2015, Linda is a telling portrait of the prejudice and low self esteem fostered by the beauty industry, following the story of a 55 year old marketing boss whose idea of targeting a much older demographic is rejected by her colleagues. Feeling usurped both in the office and at home by younger women, her life begins to crumble.
Leading the cast as the eponymous Linda is two-time Olivier Award winner Janie Dee (comic Potential, Carousel), most recently seen on this side of the Atlantic in Hollywood Bowl productions of Antony and Cleopatra and Much Ado About Nothing. MTC's Tony-winning Artistic Director Lynne Meadow directs.
