Fresh off her acclaimed run in London's West End, Sarah Snook, best known for her role in Succession, is set to bring her smash-hit one-woman production of The Picture of Dorian Gray to Broadway in 2025. Created by Kip Williams, this production will use both live performance and video to create a vivid and exciting new iteration of the tale of the morally ambiguous artisto, who remains as young and vital as ever while his hidden portrait gathers the scars of his many sins.
Snook's final performance in London's The Picture of Dorian Gray took place on May 12, capping off a successful run that garnered her the prestigious 2024 Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Play. This recognition comes hot on the heels of her string of awards, including Emmys, Golden Globes, Critics Choice, and Screen Actors Guild Awards, all earned for her standout performance as Siobhan "Shiv" Roy in HBO's hit series Succession.
In this adaptation directed by Kip Williams and based on Oscar Wilde's timeless novel, Snook embodies all 26 roles. The narrative follows the journey of a man who trades his soul to maintain eternal youth and beauty, while a hidden portrait chronicles the consequences of his hedonistic lifestyle.
Details including a venue and run dates have yet to be finalized.
