The new horror comedy - with bite!
Watch out, this show bites! Just in time for Halloween comes Teeth, a brand new musical adaptation of the 2007 horror comedy film about a devout Christian teenager who develops a unique set of teeth in a very personal place! Starring Alyse Alan Louis and Andy Karl (Groundhog Day) with a book and music by Anna J. Jacobs and book and lyrics from Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner (A Strange Loop) Michael R. Jackson, don't miss this razor-sharp satire that takes aim at so-called 'Purity Culture' and its myriad attempts to erase womanhood.
First seen in February 2024, Jacobs' and Jackson's Teeth is based on the indie movie of the same name from 2007 about a teenager, Dawn with 'Vagina Dentata' or you know, a set of teeth in her vagina. The leader of the local Evangelical purity group - The Promise Keepers, Dawn finds herself privately struggling with temptation and her religious beliefs, waiting to stay a virgin until marriage. But as the men and boys in her town test the boundaries of her oath, her special condition fights back for her, exacting gory revenge against them. Hilarious, bloody, and a searing indictment of institutionalized misogyny, Teeth is going to be big - do not miss it!
