A CONCERT FOR ALL

New Jersey Symphony Orchestra have a treat in store for the whole family, with an extra special interactive concert introducing children, families and classical music novices of all ages to the wonders of the orchestra! During a rousing performance of Beethoven's thrilling and rule-breaking Eroica symphony, the audience will be given fun tips on things to listen and look out for during the performance, as well as trivia and background on the music. With such a special performance it's almost impossible not to leave entranced after witnessing a live orchestra for the first time!

The Eroica symphony began life as a tribute to Napoleon, but when the revolutionary French leader turned tyrant, Beethoven scribbled out the name of his original dedicatee, instead focusing on the trials, tribulations and triumphs of the human spirit. It's length, skillful musicianship, expressive dynamic range and explosive climax forced early audiences to rethink what a symphony should be. A fantastic family day out - don't miss it!
