Formed in 1965, The Grateful Dead's heady fusion of rock, psychedelia and jazz amassed them a loyal following of fans that still fly their flag to this day. Deadheads will be ecstatic to find out that two of the band's founding members are joining forces for a duo tour this Winter, taking things back to basics with both acoustic and electric sets.
The Bob and Phil tour will feature guitarist Bob Weir and bassist Phil Lesh who will debut reworked versions of Grateful Dead classics, as well as throw their own solo material and a few covers into the mix. The pair have never performed without a backing band, but hope to bring a sense of intimacy in their music, as well as a nostalgic salute to their glory days, to their devout following.
