Monty Pythons Spamalot

Why see Monty Pythons Spamalot?

Telling the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and the quest for the Holy Grail in song, Monty Python's Spamalot features "a chorus line of legless knights, men in tights (with legs), killer rabbits and sexy dancing divas."  The production also promises "some of the most unforgettable musical numbers you will ever see in the theater on this evening!"

Spamalot is an adaptation of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the 1975 film that is the best loved and most successful of the Monty Python screen ventures. This outrageous new musical stars Tim Curry (The Rocky Horror Picture Show) as King Arthur, David Hyde Pierce (Frasier) as Sir Robin and Hank Azaria as Sir Lancelot. Tony and Academy Award-winner Mike Nichols will serve as director.

Best Production of SPAMALOT I've ever seen!

I'm amazed by this production of Spamalot. I'm an avid theatre goer and after having watched the original Broadway cast, the Broadway Revival and a couple of regional theatres doing their renditions of Spamalot I can assure you that this National Tour is by far the BEST version you'll ever seen. The cast's energy is just contagious, the acting, the dialect, the costumes, scenery...ALL on point! Leslie Jackson is amazing as Lady of the Lake, with incredible vocal range, and solid acting chops. I also have to give props to all the Knights of the round table, they will make you laugh until your belly hurts. The choreography is also perfection, and it really adds to the humor of the show. Among very talented cast members the Featured Dancer Mateus Barbosa da Silva was definitely one of the highlights of the show. He wasn't just impeccable on his dancing but he also had perfect comedic timing (which I find it hard to see in dancers nowadays). If you have the opportunity go watch them before they finish the tour! ... Read more

A Little Bit of Fun that turns into a Whole Bunch of Laughs.

Since viewing the clip will be the closes I will get to seeing this production I watched it intently. I found the humor enchanting as all Monty Python productions have in the past. Clay Aiken is super in his role as Sir Robin. I would adore to be able to travel to Broadway to see the full production. A good laugh is needed in all of our lives. ... Read more
