Why see The Office! A Musical Parody?

The Office Gets An Hilarious Musical Makeover

The doors of Dunder Mifflin are opening once more! Running for nine seasons and 201 episodes, four-time Emmy Award-winning sitcom The Office entertained audiences with its off-the-wall brand of cringe comedy and instantly-quotable one-liners. It's funniest moments are lovingly lampooned in this brand new parody, brought to the stage by the creative team behind the cult hit musical parodies of Friends and Full House, Bob and Tobly McSmith.

Spend a day at Scranton, Pennsylvania's third largest paper business, in the company of an office of mismatched individuals led by Michael Scott, the totally tactless, insensitive and imbecilic regional manager who somehow still comes off as loveable. With song and dance numbers like 'Welcome to Diversity Day', 'Goodbye Toby, You're The Worsty' and 'That's What She Said', the send-up combines the asides and straight-to-camera monologues of the TV show's 'mockumentary' style and the razzle-dazzle of musical theater with hilarious results.

Went With Office Fans, Wasn't A of The Office Fan. We All Had Fun.

This is totally not what I expected and in a good way! I thought it was just another boring musical with a few laughs. This is a comedic tour-de-force that is a parody of bad copyrighted and IP musicals itself while having a great cast. The woman who plays Michael Scott is hilarious. There moments of lewd humor, sweet humor, sarcastic deadpan, cringey worthy humor and it takes you through all the season at just the right pace. ... Read more

What an Opening! That’s What She Said!

Well, what can one say? Admittedly at first I was a little reserved about the idea of the Office the musical, would everyone’s favourite TV series really work on stage? Well was it rubbish? False. It was phenomenal! I don’t often go to the theatre as the last time I visited a man dressed as a cat sat on my lap. But, I’m so glad I did, The cast were amazing, and whilst I can’t personally critique each member (as it would take all day!), I have to give a special mention to the world’s best boss; Sarah M Baron, She completely gave justice to the role of Michael, why should doctor Who have all the fun!? So in short, I would highly recommend the show to any office fans, and if you didn’t enjoy it, you are an ignorant slut! I declare I love the Office musical parody! ... Read more
