Celebrate the arrival of Spring with the Holi, the Hindu festival of colors
Each Spring, buds burst and unfurl their petals in a variety of colors, heralding the coming of warmer days and Summer sun. Celebrate this happy time of year with the Holi Festival of Colors, a kaleidoscopic dance celebration that'll banish those winter blues with a rainbow of different hues! The day and night event comes to NYC's Stage 42 for 48 hours of vibrant bliss.
Based on the Hindu festival, Holi not only symbolises the coming of spring, but rejoices in love, friendship and equality across creeds and religions. Color powders are thrown in the air during sets by well-known DJs, covering festival goers with color while they dance into the late hours. Attendees are required to wear white, becoming living canvases as they revel in a riot of color. Delicious food and drink is also close at hand.
