Why see Mrs. Doubtfire?

hellooo again!

She's the nanny we all wanted in the '90s and now she's back to give the 21st century a spin in this spirited musical adaptation of the beloved 1993 classic. From the minds behind Something Rotten! and Hello, Dolly! This glorious production from Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre captures the film's original fun and chaos - with added theatrical pizazz!

Created by some of the brightest Broadway talents, Mrs. Doubtfire is directed by Jerry Zaks, features a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farell and music and lyrics by Wayne and Karey Kirkpatrick. Rob McClure stars as the titular nanny alongside Jenn Gabatese, Brad Oscar, Analise Scarpaci, Jake Ryan Flynn, Avery Sell, J. Harrison Ghee as Andre, Mark Evans, Charity Angel Dawson and Peter Bartlett.

What's the story?

Starring Sally Fields and the late great Robin Williams, Mrs. Doubtfire was an instant hit on its release, capturing audiences hearts with the story of Daniel, a recently divorced dad who comes up with a novel way to spend more time with his kids - becoming their elderly Scottish nanny - Mrs. Euphegenia Doubtfire! Charming his way into their lives, he soon becomes a fixture. But when questions start to arise about just who this Mrs. Doubtfire is, it looks like he's gonna need a lot more than a makeover to hide from this fallout.

Outstanding fun for the whole family

Just what is needed in December 2021! It made me laugh, at times cry, and oftentimes wanna dance! It is what Broadway is meant to be. Surely not a “woke” production but something entertaining!! Not everything has to be intellectual!! This was just plain old fun! ... Read more

A MUST SEE for all ages!!!

One of the funniest musicals we’ve even seen!! The vocals and song lyrics were amazing! The dancers only made enhanced every scene for the audience- and the performances of all the cast members were spot on! We highly recommend this for all ages! As a retired early education teacher, a highlight for me was Daniel’s (Rob McClure) solo “It’s About Time”…OMGoodness!!! Lololol Well done EVERYONE: cast, orchestra, dance choreographers, music, lyrics….!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️ ... Read more

One of my top 10 plays

I loved it. The cast was great and it was funny with a good mix of music. The main actor, who played the father, was great. The entire cast was great, but he had to do all the different voices for all of his alternate identities and he did it well. ... Read more
